Limits - Illusions, Cheryl Goldsleger at the Mason-Scharfenstein Museum of Art

Ray Waterhouse is pleased to announce Cheryl Goldsleger's exhibition, Limits-Illusions, on view at the Mason-Scharfenstein Museum of Art at Piedmont College.  Works on view feature Goldsleger's recent triptych which was shown in the European Cultural Centre’s 2019 Venice Biennale exhibit, Personal Structures: Time Space Existence, in Venice, Italy.

 

Goldsleger's work is represented in important museum collections including the Museum of Modern Art, NYC; the High Museum; Albright-Knox Gallery; The Fogg Museum at Harvard University; The Israel Museum; The New Orleans Museum; the Brooklyn Museum, The North Carolina Museum of Art; The Greenville County Museum; Yale University Art Gallery; the Herbert F. Johnson Museum at Cornell University; and the Tel Aviv Museum among many other important public and private collections.She has received two Artists Fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts and other regional and state artist’s grants. Her work has been discussed in an extensive list of publications including Art in America, Artforum, The Hudson Review, The New York Observer, Burnaway and ArtNet Magazine. Her international residencies at the La Napoule Foundation and a US/France Exchange Fellowship in Paris have provided invaluable resources for her work.

 

Goldsleger’s public project Crossroads is a permanent mosaic tile floor installation in Terminal A of the Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport in Atlanta. She holds an MFA from Washington University in St. Louis. Currently, Goldsleger is the Morris Eminent Scholar in Art at Augusta University in Georgia.

 

The exhibition runs from January 9-February 7 at the Mason-Scharfenstein Museum of Art, and a reception will be held on Thursday, February 6 from 5-7 PM.

 

The Mason-Scharfenstein Museum of Art is located at 567 Georgia Street, Demorest, Georgia USA. Admission is free, and museum hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Saturday.
