Born on April 24, 1952 in Saint-Adresse, France, Jean-François Rauzierstudied at the Louis Lumière College and later worked as a commercial photographer while pursuing his own career.
- In 2002, when Rauzier created his first hyper-photographs, he was already an established photographer in search of a new creative method that would differ considerably from the traditional model. He strove to capture “the panorama and the macro view all at once, to stop the time and to have the possibility of viewing all the details of a static image”.
Today, his works are in the collections of the city of Lille, the city of Paris, the Foundation Louis Vuitton in Paris, and the Newseum in Washington, D.C., among others. The artist lives and works in Paris, France.
