Natalia Ocerin Gomis is a Spanish artist currently living and working in London, studying for her second Master’s degree in Fine Art. Her practice includes both painting and installation. Her recent body of work involves Gomis acting initially as a scenographer as she makes plasticine models and places them within a hand-built structure. She then paints the complete scene. Her latest work, unfinished at the time of writing, is a complex work based on Dante’s ‘Hell’. While the painted depiction in two dimensions of plasticine models might appear fanciful, Gomis in fact is interested in significant subject matter and uses the models as allegories and commentaries on social and historical issues.
Gomis already holds a Degree and a Master’s Degree in Fine Art from the University of Valencia. She has participated in several individual and group exhibitions in Spain, London and Miami. She has an ambitious vision for her future and has amazing dexterity as a painter.
