ABOUT MODERN FINE ART
Ray Waterhouse formed the new art dealership Modern Fine Art in 2023, 36 years after starting the London gallery Waterhouse & Dodd as the majority owner. He is a renowned specialist in Impressionist, Modern and Post-War art, and also works closely with many Contemporary artists. Modern Fine Art deals in 20th and 21st century art with a gallery on the Upper East Side in New York City, and with an office in London.
Ray oversees acquisitions and major sales and advises clients on high value works of art. Over his 40-year career he has helped many new and existing collectors acquire and sell works of art valued between $10,000 and $20 million. He estimates he has been involved in more than 5,000 acquisitions and sales.
Sandra Safta Waterhouse is Director the Modern and Contemporary department and Anna Gryglak the Executive Assistant.
Modern Fine Art is already committed to exhibiting at a prestigious US art fair, Art Palm Beach in January 2025.
During the 1990s Ray Waterhouse became more involved in offering expert and professional advice to collectors, and began Fine Art Brokers, a service that has become one of the most respected art advisory services in the world
