We are excited to present a stunning new series from French photographer Jean-François Rauzier titled Japanese Gardens. In this captivating collection, Rauzier draws inspiration from the timeless beauty of traditional Japanese gardens, shrines, and the serene elements of nature. Each piece in the series is a masterful composition, where hundreds of carefully stitched images come together to form surreal Hyperphotos.

Born on April 24, 1952 in Saint-Adresse, France, Rauzier studied at the Louis Lumière College and later worked as a commercial photographer while pursuing his own career. In 2002, when Jean-François Rauzier created his first hyper-photographs, he was already an established photographer in search of a new creative method that would differ considerably from the traditional model. He strove to capture “the panorama and the macro view all at once, to stop the time and to have the possibility of viewing all the details of a static image”.

Today, his works are in the collections of the city of Lille, the city of Paris, the Foundation Louis Vuitton in Paris, and the Newseum in Washington, D.C., among others. The artist lives and works in Paris, France.
